care & affection

with the right care, our garments will last a long time. treat them well and they will return the favour.

air–out smelly garms outdoors

Natural fibers can go a long time without seeing a washer from the inside. Sporting self-cleaning properties and antibacterial function, natural fibers get rid of most debris, smells and dirt themselves.

Before you wash, try airing out your piece outdoors over night to neutralize smells.

hand–wash with cold water

Unless specifically stated otherwise on the care label, our garments like to be hand washed exclusively.
Wool does this thing where it shrinks in hot water.
To keep the shape we envisioned, stray from using hot water, wash as little as possible and always use wool detergent. Softener is not needed, promise.

never tumble dry wool

Tumble drying wool is a fast track to never wearing it again, unless you’re in the business for children’s feltwear. Always carefully lay knits flat to dry, do not wring or pull them excessively, as this can distort their given shape.
When dry, please fold and store our garments flat, as hanging on a hanger can lengthen and change the fit.

do not use bleach

Bleach opens up the chemical structure of the fiber without closing it again, ending in a rougher texture and possibly broken fibers. If you want to change the colour of your garment, consider visiting one of our sister brand’s fabric dyeing classes (that are specifically designed for natural fibers) instead of bleaching.

gift to a friend when you’re done

We love handed-down pieces, cherished for generations. Separating us from fast fashion, we actually design our garments to ensure a seriously long lifetime. Should you get bored of your pick, gift it to friend or find an alternative in our shop.
We love seeing our pieces out there. <3
